LETTER: Sand storm engulfs club

Muriwai is a much more dangerous beach than Piha. To use the number of rescues as a measure of how dangerous a beach is, is simplistic logic and flawed; it could simply indicate more/less people go to that particular beach or that lifeguards are able to prevent more rescues from happening.

One thing is for sure, Muriwai is an extremely dangerous beach and the Surf Club and community need a first class facility to enable the lifeguards to do their job.
