I was delighted to see your article on Kiwiana in this week's edition of The Aucklander. I have recently just opened up a cafe in Henderson called Retro Coffee Lounge and, as the name suggests, we to also highlight the Kiwiana aspect of things gone by.

The aim of this cafe was to help bringsome of the Crown Lynn heritage back to west Auckland. The shop itself focuses on the Kiwi bach kind of feel with Crown Lynn plates on the walls and lots of old retro teapots and cups, we have formica tables and chairs and have made it to feel like your home away from home just like your bach would be.

I would like to see more of the heritage of New Zealand come up in lots of other places as we should all be proud of our heritage.
