Car smashes into Wairau McDonald's
A car has crashed into a McDonald's restaurant in Wairau Valley in Auckland.
Police got a call at 7.44am that a car had crashed into the McDonald's restaurant in Wairau Rd, said Inspector Ian Brooker.
St John's Ambulance also attended the scene, where the 65-year-old woman driver was treated for minor injuries but was not taken to hospital.
It appeared that the car had crashed into the window of the McDonald's seating area, said spokesman Norm Ngatai.
Nobody else was injured in the accident.
Wairau McDonalds said they were working with the police to address the situation.
